About Us
The founder of R.M.F. Industries,
the inventor of the Snatch N’ Grab®, is Robert
Bateman, Sr. He’s an Air Force veteran and a retired
refrigeration and air-conditioning engineer. One
thing he has never retired from is fishing. Robert
and his wife, Melnese, have a shared passion for
the outdoors and fishing (of course). The family
that fishes together stays together.
While Robert enjoyed fishing, he always felt like
something was missing. This started a fire under him
to find a solution that would help him enjoy his
favorite pass-time even more. That’s when Robert
designed the Snatch N’ Grab®. He made one for himself
and took it fishing, the rest is history. Now he
can’t go fishing without it - or without someone
